Cherie Jamason has been recognized for her leadership in addressing hunger and its causes at a local, regional and national level. In this episode, she’ll share how she moved from Canada to Nevada, where she and her husband left the security of his good paying job with an internationally known company, to enter a field that was totally different. Cherie shares how she ended up a single mom raising kids on her own and running a young nonprofit, and grew the organization to the success it is today. She also touches on how she chose to reinvent herself so she could tackle the root causes of hunger. Cherie’s candor and thoughtfulness provide inspiration for women and men, as she leaves us with one of the words of wisdom she values and reflects on regularly: "Before you speak, is what you're going to say an improvement over silence?"
